On behalf of His Highness the Honorable Minister, His Excellency Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture – participated in the remote video meeting, which was held by the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science “ALECSO”.

His Excellency delivered the ministry’s speech on the occasion of the celebration of the Arab Poetry Day, which falls on March 21 of each year.

This year, ALECSO chose two poets to be honored in the seventh session, the poet Sheikh Hilal bin Muhammad Al Ameri from the Sultanate of Oman, and the name of the late poet Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa from the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth will hold an intellectual symposium on the poetry of the poet Sheikh Hilal bin Muhammad Al-Amri, in coordination with the organization and the cultural club.
