As part of the T36 category, national team player Taha bin Abdullah Al-Harassi will begin the competition by competing in the long jump competition on August 30, and will also participate in the 100m heats on September 3 and if qualified, will participate in the finals on September 4.
Coach of the Sultanate’s national team, Sania Mustafa, stated that Mohammed Al-Mashaikhi is prepared physically and morally for the challenge of competing in his first competition in the tournament, the sceptre throwing competition, she also stated that the competitions are not easy, since those who compete in them are the most important champions of the continents, hence physical preparation as well as high concentration and motivation are important factors to achieve success. Coach Sania have also stated that Mohammed Al-Mashaikhi and Taha Al-Harassi have gone through intensive training camps in Morocco and Tunisia, which is a good balance for the players to achieve their aspirations and ambitions, and despite the difficult competition in the Paralympic Games, we are confident that he and his colleague, Taha Al Harasi, will present levels that will qualify them to reach the podiums.
