The Members of the Omani Committee for Games and electronic Sports who practice in electronic games and expressed their happiness after the announcement of the Omani National Committee for Games and Electronic Sports adopted by His Highness Sayyid Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Saeed, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. Based on His Highness’s interest in developing the capabilities of youth in all fields to qualify them to compete in regional and international competitions and achieve advanced positions.
Majid bin Abdullah Al Sali, Chairman of the Omani Committee for Games and Electronic Sports said that this announcement will be giving another dimension to these games, which are a good development in Oman. Especially, the modern generation because the government cared about this game and reflect the growing extent for these types of sports. Also, and the increase of their professionals and practitioners in Oman.
Al Sali pointed out that the committee will seek to develop many ideas into reality and implement events and competitions. That will improve the games and electronic sports in Oman to be a leader in this field. Al Sali said: “There are some challenges that can face similar of these games and sports. On the other hand, but we have full certainty that the presence of this committee will be the basis for any difficulties or challenges. However, there will be cooperation and partnership with interested individuals or companies for the same these games and sports”. He explained that the Committee welcomes any partnerships or initiatives that will serve and develop these sports. These will create diverse competitions in the diversity of sports and electronic games. Also, it will increase Oman’s participation in external competitions.
Plans and programs:
Mustafa Bin Salem Al Ajami, a member of the committee, said: “We have been happy about this announcement because it helps young people who are interested in electronic games to compete in international competitions because the government cared about this game. “Al-Ajami added, “We needed something that brings us together and organizes this game, and now the committee will manage and organize the affairs of games and electronic sports from all administrative, financial, technical, and organizational with the plans and programs that approved by the Ministry”. It will develop the plans and programs for the dissemination and upgrading of electronic sports in the Sultanate of Oman. Moreover, and its technical development based on modern scientific and technical foundations, AbdulRahman bin Saeed Al Hebrew, Secretary-General of the Committee said that we were very excited after the adoption of His Highness for the Committee.

Abdul Rahman al-Adawi, secretary-general of the committee, said: “The presence of organized electronic sports was a requirement of the players practicing this activity, “As this committee is announced, we begin the 1,000-mile step and the committee has a lot of work to do in the coming period. in addition, we look forward to creating a fertile environment in which players will compete through local competitions and events to gain experience and confidence and then transfer them to regional and international experiences and competitions.” The secretary of the committee added: “bright future is coming for the Omani player in this field because of the ingredients that qualify him for international competition and the role of the committee will be in supporting these players and taking their hands to participate in these competitions and achieve good results.”
Generation of Technologies
Fahad bin Abdulrahman al-Hasani is one of the distinguished players with external participation. Said that “I am very excited after being officially accredited to the committee, as I am a fan of FIFA. So, I had external participations and being from Oman and we did not have official status, so, I was excluded last year and this year I participate again because we found those who take care of us as a national committee,”. Ahmed Al-Zedjali, who is also a player said: “We are also the generation of technologies and electronic games, this announcement that motive us in any external participations,”. Omar Al Ameri, one of the practitioners of electronic games said: ” As everyone knows that the practitioners of electronic games and other related sports are constantly increasing. Moreover, before the announcement no regulatory tool that adjusts successfully but now with this committee things have become clear surrounded by regulation and good planning.
