Culture and Sports federations and clubs discussed aspects of amending regulations and legislation

Sheikh Rashad bin Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Omair Al Hinai, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, met with the President of the Oman Olympic Committee, heads and representatives of federations and clubs in the meeting hall of the Ministry’s General Diwan, in the presence of top officials from the Ministry.

This meeting is part of a series of periodic meetings designed to frame Ministry of Culture interests and endeavors to follow up the culture, sports, and youth sectors, promote cooperation of clubs with the Olympic Committee and sports federations and their development. Moreover, review various aspects and challenges during Sharing ideas, visions, and a joint dialog to achieve the public interest in various aspects.

In addition, in this meeting, Sheikh Rashad bin Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Omair Al Hinai, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth discussed the latest developments concerning the proposed amendments to the legislation and regulations of the sports authorities in Oman. Moreover, he discussed the main pillars of the proposed amendments were also reviewed, and the proposals and observations of the heads of clubs and sports federations.

A similar meeting had taken place in September to discuss ideas for proposed changes to the sports regulations from the principle of the participation of stakeholders in the formulation of regulations and legislation.
In the first quarter of next year, the ministry hopes to complete the drafting of these amendments after completing the main procedures with the country’s competent authorities.
