Within the framework of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth’s endeavor to honor Omani innovators internally and externally in various fields of intellectual, literary and artistic knowledge, and to present them as honorable models of cultural giving to future generations, and its endeavor to encourage and stimulate the intellectual, literary and artistic movement, and to support the creative productions of the people of this country. The honored creative Omanis are: the artist / Anwar bin Khamis Sonia Al Zadjali – in the field of visual arts, and the poet / Hassan bin Obaid Al Matroushi – in the field of literary arts.

It is worth mentioning that the ceremony honoring the Gulf cultural innovators comes within the implementation of the Gulf cultural strategy for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which included the establishment of many cooperative Gulf cultural events that contribute to the advancement of the Gulf cooperation’s action, strengthening ties and benefiting from experiences among the people of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
