Yesterday, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, Oman’s representative, in the preparatory meeting to your excellency, the cultural agents in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, at the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council. Moreover, Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan Al Busaidi Under-Secretary of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, was Oman’s representative at the meeting. This preparatory meeting precedes His Highness the Ministers of the culture of the Arab States of the Gulf Ministers of Culture. Also, the agenda for which includes many of the topics discussed at the meeting. A few of the most important is the executive plan for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf’s cultural strategy. In addition, the center for translation and Arabization, which will be hosted by Oman as one of the GCC general secretariat’s instruments. In addition, the areas of joint cultural work between GCC states, some friendly countries, and several international departments and institutions concerned with cultural matters. Also, the meeting discussed the implementation of the decisions of the Twenty-third Meeting of their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Culture in the GCC states.
