The Gulf Youth Initiatives Forum was concluded yesterday evening, which was implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth in Kuwait, with the participation of young people from the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jordan and the Kingdom of Morocco, through video communication during the period 10-12 August .
The aim of the Gulf Forum was to identify some experiences of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the field of youth initiatives, and to find common channels for Gulf cooperation in the field of youth initiatives. to be implemented by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The forum reviewed the experiences of the best youth initiatives at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and helped the youth through training workshops to transform their development ideas into initiatives that have a positive impact in their society.
Youth initiatives are the main motive for the continued giving of young people in various countries of the world, and they are among the pioneering projects that contribute to the development of society in various fields.
Implementation of the decisions of Their Highnesses and Excellencies
His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports confirmed that this forum comes in implementation of the decisions of the thirty-fourth meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies and Ministers of Youth and Sports in the GCC countries. The implementation of this forum is an extension of the previous work in supporting and organizing youth initiatives for the active role it has in enhancing the skills of young people. This came at the opening of the forum, which was held under his patronage. Al-Rawas added that the forum includes a review of successful youth initiatives and training for young entrepreneurs on designing quality initiatives and proposing joint initiatives.
His Excellency Basil Al-Rawas thanked the State of Kuwait for its active participation and cooperation in the planning and implementation of this forum, and thanked the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for its contribution to overcoming the difficulties in implementing this forum.
Gulf Ethical Charter Proposal
The forum came out with a proposal for the Gulf Ethical Charter for Youth Initiatives, which is expected to improve the work of youth initiatives and help in professional organization, and also develop behaviors related to the growth and development of young people in youth initiatives with themselves and each other. It is also expected that the proposal does not carry a legal obligation but rather a voluntary act from the youth working in voluntary initiatives, where the charter will be submitted to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to be presented to the meeting of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and Ministers of Youth and Sports in the GCC States.
